Staff Accountant

Job Description

​

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, monthly financial close, and financial planning activities. This position offers broad exposure across accounting and finance functions, providing an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the company’s strategic initiatives. The role will report to and work closely with the VP of Accounting and Financial Reporting, offering hands-on experience in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a desire to grow in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

​

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensure invoices are routed and coded properly

  • Manage vendor onboarding, including collecting W-9s, setting up vendor profiles, ensuring banking details are collected for payment processing and filing 1099s

  • Review AP aging and coordinate payment runs by preparing ACH and wire payments for approval

  • Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

  • Maintain intercompany balances, intercompany transactions, and consolidations

  • Prepare audit and tax support schedules and respond to requests as needed

  • Manage entity compliance for federal, state, and local jurisdictions including annual reporting and sales and use tax filings

  • Assist with the preparation of investor and financing partner compliance deliverables and financial reporting packages

  • Support cash forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis projects

  • Participate in process and internal control improvements, system enhancements, technical accounting projects, and cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications

​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (renewable energy a plus)

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles

  • Effective communicator with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Interest in clean energy and sustainability

Investment Analyst

Job Description

​

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to support multiple areas of our company. This position is for someone inspired by the opportunity to gain experience in renewable energy transactions, financial modeling, investor management, and new investment origination, while working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

​

The Analyst will assist the team in all aspects of working with our key partners, including capital providers (equity, tax equity, and debt), project development partners, and external asset management contractors. They will play a critical role in supporting project execution, M&A activities, greenfield project development and new market analysis. Responsibilities include detailed financial modeling, due diligence support, transaction management, asset management, new investment analysis and proposal assembly, and various other business management activities.​

  • Full-time salaried position with competitive compensation (base & bonus)

Hiring Timeline and Process:

  • Late July: Initial applications and screening interviews

Qualifications

​

  • 0-4 years of renewable energy and/or finance experience (project finance, real asset investing, investment banking, or private equity is a plus)

  • Strong passion for and ideally experience in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and/or climate tech

  • Excellent analytical abilities, including financial modeling and valuation

  • Interest in tax equity and project finance debt transactions

  • Familiarity with renewable energy project development and construction

  • Familiarity with due diligence management and counterparty coordination

  • Fast learner and strong willingness to be trained and developed

  • Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information

  • Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, and seek out additional responsibility

  • Excellent verbal, written, power point, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Team player, sense of humor, and mission-driven mindset
